Once we have moved through the Sphere of Purpose, the Venus Sequence guides us onto the Pathway of Dharma, leading us to the Sphere of Attraction. How delicious does that sound? It’s an enticing invitation to explore the map of your soul’s journey.
What Is Dharma?
Dharma is destiny. It represents your soul’s promise and the path you were designed to walk in this lifetime. Whether you perceive destiny as predetermined or shaped by free will is a personal choice. In this context, Dharma is the framework of experiences life offers to help you fulfill your purpose. It’s not an absolute but a potential, revealed through tools like the Gene Keys, natal charts, and human design profiles. Within this context we can see why Purpose and Attraction are connected by Dharma. You attract the situations the dharma brings in order to fulfill your purpose.
The Pathway of Dharma connects your Sphere of Purpose to the Sphere of Attraction. It illustrates how the purpose of your soul attracts relationships, circumstances, and experiences that propel you toward self-discovery and the embodiment of love.
As you open the door to the Venus Sequence and walk through your Sphere of Purpose (see Part 3), you encounter the Pathway of Dharma. If we imagine this journey as linear, the Pathway of Dharma connects your purpose to the Gene Key that reveals the kinds of relationships, situations, and opportunities you attract to fulfill that purpose. It’s a reminder that every step on this path—whether it feels like progress or struggle—is part of a larger design to help you align with your destiny.
Navigating the Pathway of Dharma
Dharma sets the stage for growth, often through challenges and suffering. How you respond to life’s trials determines whether you resist or surrender to the flow of universal guidance. The Pathway of Dharma also connects us to the astral plane—a realm of emotions and desires. Embracing this emotional landscape with mindfulness reveals the deeper meaning behind life’s complexities.
The astral plane, as described by Yogananda and theosophical traditions, is a space where emotions and desires hold a living reality. It’s the bridge between the subconscious and the soul’s higher purpose. In the Venus Sequence, this emotional realm becomes a guide for recognizing patterns and trends in relationships and experiences.
The pathway of Dharma is intricately tied to the sanskaras—impressions or imprints left on our consciousness from past experiences, actions, and even lifetimes. These sanskaras influence the patterns we attract into our lives, shaping the relationships, situations, and opportunities that align with our soul's purpose.
Sanskaras and the Attraction Sphere
Sanskaras can be understood as the grooves in our psyche, often unconsciously guiding our desires, fears, and reactions. They form a link between the astral plane's emotional currents and the physical reality of our lived experiences. When we explore the sphere of attraction through the Gene Keys, we are essentially uncovering the ways these karmic imprints draw specific energies and experiences into our orbit.
Dharma as the Fulfillment of Karmic Imprints
Your dharma is your soul's highest calling, and the sanskaras play a pivotal role in manifesting the challenges and opportunities necessary to fulfill that destiny. Each experience—especially those that challenge us emotionally—offers a chance to transmute these imprints into wisdom and love.Mirroring and Relationships
The relationships we attract, particularly through the lens of the attraction sphere, are often mirrors reflecting back our sanskaras. The Gene Keys encourage us to delve into the chemical responses and emotional currents these connections evoke. By observing without judgment, we can begin to unravel the deeper karmic threads and evolve past patterns rooted in shadow.Transcending the Shadow of Sanskaras
The sanskaras, like the shadows described in the Gene Keys, offer both challenges and opportunities. Resistance to these imprints often leads to repeated patterns of suffering. Surrendering to them—not in a passive sense but through mindful contemplation—allows us to integrate their lessons and align more closely with the gift and siddhi states of the Gene Key in the sphere of attraction. The Role of Desire
Desires, as illuminated by the attraction sphere, are not random—they are the compass pointing toward the fulfillment of your dharma. These desires, however, are often entangled with sanskaras. The process of disentangling requires self-love, reflection, and a willingness to embrace the shadow as the portal to the gift and siddhi.
In this context, the concept of sanskaras from ancient Vedic traditions provides additional insight. Sanskaras are the mental and emotional imprints or impressions left by past experiences, which shape our subconscious patterns and reactions. These imprints can act as both obstacles and guides on our Pathway of Dharma. By bringing awareness to these patterns, we can release old conditioning and align more fully with our soul’s purpose.
Your Attraction Field
The sphere of attraction is not a law of attraction manifesting type deal, the Sphere of Attraction represents what you are energetically drawing into your life to fulfill your Dharma. According to Richard Rudd, everything you attract is an opportunity to expand your capacity for love. By observing your chemical and emotional responses, you can mine the present moment for insights into your true desires and purpose.
Key themes of the Sphere of Attraction include:
Gratitude: Focus on the abundance in your life instead of lack.
Desires as Guides: Your desires are not distractions but pathways lighting your way toward deeper understanding. Do more of what lights you up!
Present-Moment Awareness: The Attractor Field emerges from the needs of your Dharma, urging you to engage with life’s gifts in the here and now.
Unconditional Love: Every experience—even the challenging ones—serves to awaken the love within you.
The Shadow and Gift of Attraction
Each Gene Key within the Sphere of Attraction holds a Shadow, a Gift, and a Siddhi. For example, Gene Key 23 (Line 5) transitions from the Shadow of Complexity to the Gift of Simplicity, and ultimately to the Siddhi of Quintessence. This journey illustrates how our attraction field evolves when we embrace the lessons within our challenges.
Starting with Complexity: The Pattern of Attraction
Your history with love, family, and work relationships reveals a recurring attraction to complexity. Relationships filled with drama, misunderstanding, or emotional turbulence seem to mirror internal conflicts or unresolved sanskaras. For example:
Divorces and familial challenges: Your experiences with two divorces and complex dynamics with stepchildren, in-laws, and even ex-wives suggest deeply entangled emotional patterns. These could be rooted in subconscious beliefs or past karmic imprints about love, worthiness, or connection.
Wholly Pops and Work Relationships: In your business journey, you describe ignoring your inner voice and feeling trapped in a venture you never truly wanted. This entrapment mirrors the pattern of complexity in relationships—ignoring intuition to meet external expectations or avoid conflict.
In these moments, complexity worked against you by creating cycles of entanglement, dissatisfaction, and emotional exhaustion. Sensuality—your innate ability to connect deeply with others—may have been distorted into over-giving or staying in situations longer than necessary.
The gift of simplicity begins with recognizing and releasing the unnecessary complications. Here’s how your stories reveal this transformation:
Listening to Your Inner Voice: Your reflection on Wholly Pops highlights the pivotal realization that you must trust yourself. This act of tuning into your intuition simplifies decision-making and aligns you with your authentic path.
Releasing Expectations in Relationships: In your second marriage, for instance, you describe the dynamic of being dismissed or controlled. Simplifying here might look like setting boundaries, releasing the need for validation, or letting go of relationships that don’t honor your values. By focusing on what truly matters to you, you begin clearing the emotional clutter.
Parenting and Family Dynamics: With stepchildren and ex-wives, simplifying might mean detaching from the need to "fix" things or meet everyone’s expectations. Instead, you center your energy on cultivating direct and honest relationships where possible.
Simplicity is not about avoiding challenges but about approaching them with clarity and alignment, focusing only on what is essential.
The Sexual Wound
The Sphere of Attraction also uncovers your sexual wound—a deeply rooted energetic imprint affecting your vitality, creativity, and relationships. This wound is not limited to physical intimacy but extends to the vital energy that drives your creative and emotional expression.
Healing the Wound: Explore the currents driving your desires and love yourself through the process.
Creativity and Alchemy: Consider how you’re transforming your experiences into meaningful creations, relationships, and contributions to the world.
Gentleness: Approach this work with self-compassion and patience.
The Lines of the Attractor Field:
Line 1 - Sterility/Fertility: This line represents the foundation of attraction and can be seen as either an empty or sterile experience at a low frequency, or a fertile and wholesome one at a higher frequency. It sets the stage for whether relationships and experiences are meaningful and fulfilling.
Line 2 - Lust/Passion: At a lower frequency, this line can manifest as feelings of inadequacy and anger, but at a higher frequency, it can bring about a sense of freedom and passion in one’s sexuality and relationships.
Line 3 - Promiscuity/Playfulness: This line can lead to drama and a series of disastrous relationships at a low frequency, or to playful and adventurous relationships at a higher frequency, where sexuality is not taken too seriously.
Line 4 - Frigidity/Romance: At a lower frequency, this line can create a sense of distance and coldness in relationships, while at a higher frequency, it fosters intimacy and closeness.
Line 5 - Entrapment/Sensuality: This line can lead to feelings of entrapment and manipulation at a low frequency, but at a higher frequency, it can bring about sensuality and a masterful approach to relationships.
A note about the lines. Because they are tied to the exact time of your birth and can change rather quickly hour to hour, make sure you read all of the lines, because the one that resonates most may likely be the correct one for you.
Line 5: Entrapment and Sensuality
I have the line 5 in my sphere of attraction, so I will share my contemplations on this beautiful line. Upon first glance my meditation and contemplation around this line was, "Sh&t I attract complicated relationships via entrapment - either they entrap me or I them. Awesome. No wonder I have a mile-long list of failed relationships romantic and platonic."
For those of us with Line 5 in the Sphere of Attraction, the themes of entrapment and sensuality may surface. This line invites contemplation of how you attract complex relationships and whether you feel trapped or entrap others. Through exploration, you can move from the Shadow of Entrapment to the Gift of Sensuality, finding freedom and joy in authentic connection.
Entrapment and Sensuality in the Shadow of Complexity
In the shadow state of Gene Key 23, complexity becomes a trap that entangles us in unnecessary mental, emotional, or relational chaos. Here's how entrapment and sensuality manifest in this shadow:
Entrapment Through Complexity
Complexity creates an illusion of control. In relationships, we may find ourselves overanalyzing, overexplaining, or attaching to convoluted stories to justify patterns of attraction or decisions.
This entrapment can also show up as attracting relationships or experiences that feel inescapable—cycles of drama or emotional turbulence where complexity becomes the norm.
Sensuality in the Shadow
Sensuality can become distorted in the shadow as a craving for connection or stimulation that lacks clarity or depth. It might manifest as overindulgence in physical or emotional pleasures to distract from inner chaos.
In this state, attraction draws us into cycles that perpetuate the shadow of complexity, making simplicity seem unattainable.
